Two men. Two gaps. One mission to heal the core and bridge the digital divide.
Community Social Club (CSC) was founded in 2022 by Isaiah Sifiso Shiba, Mbuso Price Masuku, and Sapho Clerence Zulu.
We saw two gaps that most organisations were not addressing together.
First: while many programmes rightly focus on women and children, very few targeted young men before they became part of the problem. Gender-based violence, crime, substance abuse, fraud — these issues often have young men at the centre. We believed a weekly, safe, intergenerational conversation could begin to change that.
Second: in our own community of White River and the surrounding rural areas, young people have almost no access to computers or the internet. That digital exclusion cuts them off from education, job applications, online learning, and the broader digital economy. We knew we had to address this too.
So we built a solution that addresses both. Our weekly meetings create a safe space for men and boys to talk, heal, and grow. Our planned Tech Hub will open doors to the digital world. And our skills training programmes will lead to real, accredited qualifications and jobs.
In 2026, we completed our legal compliance: registered as a Non‑Profit Company (NPC) with CIPC, and as an NPO with the Department of Social Development (334‑400‑NPO). We are also registered with SARS and pursuing PBO tax‑exemption status, QCTO accreditation, and funding for our Tech Hub.
